Tag: metastasis
Metastasis: Cancer recurrence away from the site of the original tumor. In metastasis, a tumor cell must detach from its tumor and acquire migratory and invasive capabilities. Once the cell starts to divide, the new tumor must establish a blood supply through angiogenesis in order to grow beyond a tiny size.
