Tag: lumpectomy
Lumpectomy: Breast conserving surgery in which a tumor is completely removed, along with a margin of disease-free tissue. The surgery might leave a dimple or dent in the breast, but is not as disfiguring as a partial mastectomy in which a quarter to a third of the breast may be removed.
